Standard features of the Patz 2400 Series II Trailer Twin Screw Vertical Mixer

Each Patz Vertical Mixer is manufactured at our plant in Pound, Wisconsin, with these standard features:

	Constant Velocity (CV) joint on PTO drive shaft.

	Safety chain, hitch pin and clevis are standard. Clevis for hitch has a 1-3/8" hole instead of a slot to help prevent wear on the clevis and lessen slapping of the trailer when pulling.


	2-Speed Gearbox protected by automatic cut-out clutch from tractor. Provides low gear for mixing rations and high gear so mixer can be cleaned out. 5-year pro-rated warranty.

	Front door conveyor available as trailer mounted (feed not weighed on conveyor) or tub mounted (feed weighed on conveyor). Front discharge can be to right, to left, or flat reversible. Available in either a fixed position or as sliding/telescoping (incline discharges in fixed position only). All discharges have 36" wide chain conveyors for quick, reliable feed removal. Front incline discharges are also available in 41", 66" & 84" lengths. Hydraulic ram is located on side of conveyor for 41" length option.

	1/4" x 4" x 8" underslung "A" frame (over/under) design provides 18" of support at the point where forces are greatest and allows for a shorter turning radius. This frame design gives added strength in load carrying capacity and load turning strength.

	Two oil reservoirs for better monitoring of each individual planetary gearbox (dipstick under each cap). Mounted on front left of tub (not pictured in diagram).

	3/8" x 6" x 10" rectangular tubing trailer frame.

	Walking tandem with 8 wheels and tires for smooth transport over rough terrain.

	Strong planetary gearbox, backed by a 5-year pro-rated planetary gearbox warranty. Grease zerk for planetary located at the rear of the mixer for easy access!

	Shear bolt on rear drive line provides added protection for the rear planetary gearbox.

	Tail lights with 7 pin connector provide higher visibility on public roads. Lights recessed into back channel for added protection from accidental damage.

	A 3/4" floor plate provides the solid structure that the mixer is built on. A 3/4" sub floor plate is welded to the bottom of the floor plate, providing a 1-1/2" base for mounting the planetary. For additional strength and stability, 1/2" reinforcement bars are welded to the bottom.

	Side walls are constructed of 1/4" steel for long life. Overlap design provides added strength to tub side walls.

	Two patent pending Vortex™ Screws mix quickly without compromising feed quality. Constructed of welded steel with 5/8" cupped flighting. Pre-drilled to accept knives. 5 knife mount locations per screw on 810 cu. ft. units and 7 knife mount locations per screw on 950 cu. ft. units.

	Patented baffle design features staggered baffles to quickly and gently direct all ingredients around both screws from end to end for a thorough, consistent TMR. Constructed of 1/4" steel for durability & long life.

	Safely view ration mixing from front viewing platform, providing left and right access.

	Swivel mount jack stand has an 8,000 lb. capacity. Two jack storage locations.

	Reversible restrictors/bale grippers are located on front left and right rear of tub. Adjust in or out as desired to control the flow of forages inside. Longer forages can be processed faster by setting restrictors farther in.

	Multiple door locations available. Side doors feature deflector shield with rubber flap. Optional rear commodity door also available.
