Important Silo Unloader Safety Notice
Attention: Owners of Patz Silo Unloaders Models 61, 66 and 98 manufactured from 1960 to 1971 (15 to 26 years old). All models involved were originally green.
Warning
1. Do not operate Silo Unloader without box type gathering chain guard.
2. Do not operate Silo Unloader without flush type setscrews in drive wheel shaft.
State-of-the-art guarding at the time of manufacture may not fully cover the area of the gathering chain. Although silo unloaders should not be operated with persons in the silo, serious injuries caused by the gathering chain and protruding setscrews on the revolving shafts while ignoring this safety practice have been reported. To help prevent accidents, that may result in injury or death, Patz offers owners of silo unloaders involved improved safety and guarding at no cost.

Disconnect and lockout electrical power before entering the silo. Serious injury or death could occur if power is turned on while anyone is in the silo.
