The Patz Barn Cleaner - Layout Flexibility

Typical Patz Barn Cleaner Layouts

Barn gutters can be 15 to 20 inches wide (in 1/2-inch increments). For new construction, an 18-inch-wide recessed gutter 10-12 inches deep is recommended. Recessed gutters offer less chance for animals to step on chain and give less distance to step over. Flite cleaner is more efficient because chain stays cleaner.

Each of the plans shown below is available in either left or right hand installations. Barn Cleaner configurations can be applied to stanchion barns, free-stall barns or loose-housing barns.

The genuine Patz chain goes around corners and up inclines easily. This flexibility and durability has been proven on thousands of farms.

The optional split chute eliminates the return corner.
