The Patz Barn Cleaner - Hold-Down Shoe
Hold-Down Shoe Protects the Chain
The Patz hold-down shoe adjusts up or down easily with a simple setscrew to get maximum performance. The chain is held down in the barn gutter so the flites move all the manure up the slide.
The Patz hold-down shoe is a through-hardened iron casting with the hardness controlled accurately. Beware of hold-down shoes made of cast-iron, which are not through hardened. Look for the Patz name embossed on the hold-down shoe for assurance of a high-quality product.
A precleaner helps keep material out of the hold-down shoe to ensure reliable performance.

A double-flanged groove guides the chain and contacts only the link’s heaviest portion, the hook - no flexing of the link.
