Patz Corner Wheels Keep the Chain On
Patz corner wheels are designed so only the heaviest part of the link contacts the wheel. The Patz chain "rests" on the back of the hook as it rolls around the double flanged corner wheel. The big Patz corner wheel is through hardened to resist wear. Others are not.
The optional Patz double corner wheel assembly contains two 12-inch (305 mm) diameter wheels to roll the chain around corners smoothly under heavier loads. This Patz double corner wheel spreads the load over two wheels, allowing longer pulls while prolonging chain life.
The flanged top and bottom of the Patz corner wheel keep the chain from riding over the edge of the wheel and protect the barn gutter bottom from excessive wear. The flanged wheel also provides automatic and continuous chain self-alignment. Large wheel diameter provides easy roll of chain around corners to minimize stress on the chain and allow long chain life. The 12-inch (305 mm) corner wheel is equipped with a reinforced bearing made with graphite for wear resistance. The bearing is greaseable and replaceable. There’s a grease reserve in the axle.
Patz corner wheels remove easily anytime for inspection or servicing without concrete breakout. The Patz factory-fabricated corner wheel assembly speeds up cement work during installation and helps assure proper chain alignment. Wheels are available for corners up to 180 degrees. The design includes a boss at the top slot and bottom slot of the housing which holds the corner wheel axle. These bosses provide extra support for the corner wheel axle. This will lead to a longer service life for the corner wheel assembly.
The complete Patz corner wheel housing can be removed from the barn gutter for easy replacement.
