Hay is chopped—not hammermilled. The Model 9427 with 80 cutting edges and adjustable screen produces finely chopped hay.
Optional longer chopper legs with cross braces are available. The leg height adjusts from 28 to 38 inches (711 to 965 mm).

Bottom Discharge
The stationary chopper with bottom discharge mounts over conveyors easily. The stands feature adjustable height and width for convenient positioning.
Adjustable Screen For Fine Chop
Model 9427 Stationary Choppers are available with optional screens to produce short-cut material.
The adjustable screen has holes that can be closed down with a hand crank attached to the chopper.
Alfalfa hay can be chopped into a mixture of particle sizes from meal to approximately two inches (51 mm), depending on the screen adjustment and the material being chopped. Straw can be chopped into fine-cut bedding for free-stall barns with slatted floors and liquid-manure handling systems. Also, other materials can be chopped to short lengths.
