Patz Model 1100 Vertical Mixer:
Better mixing, Increased butterfat, Higher milk premiums!

Wayne and Diane Nummerdor purchased their farm in 1978, just two years after they were married. Five of the couple's seven children - Stephany, Nathan, Kimberly, Kelsey and Megan - work on the 370-acre Nummerdor Family Dairy Farm in Fox Lake, WI.
The Nummerdors replaced their old mixer with a 420 cubic foot Patz Model 1100 Vertical Mixer that they purchased from Steinhart Farm Service, Inc. They mix five batches per day, which includes three batches for their 255 dairy cows and two batches for their 300 heifers.
"(The Patz) mixes feed faster than our old mixer - it cuts down our mixing time by an hour every day," Wayne commented. "It cleans out a lot better, too."
In addition to faster mixing time, the Nummerdors realized other benefits to switching to their Patz mixer.
"The Patz does a better job mixing," said Wayne. "Our milk tested better with an increase in butterfat…now we receive a higher premium for our milk."
The Nummerdors are very pleased with the performance of their Patz Model 1100 Vertical Mixer and like that it works well with their 80 HP tractor. Wayne also said the 420 low profile mixer is the perfect size for them because it fits in their feed room. And, even with rubber side extensions, they are able to use a skid loader to fill the mixer.
"The machine works great," said Wayne, adding, "It's built heavier."
