Model 8916 Belt Feeder Success Story
Excellent Performance and Service From Patz!
Richard Henss, Sr., and his son Richard, Jr., gave up dairying and began raising steers about three years ago on their 5th generation farm in Trenton, IL. Established in the 1860's, Henss Farm, Inc., currently feeds 460 steers and grain farms 1400 acres.
No matter what the weatherman predicts, every farmer knows that the cattle still need to be fed so there won't be a day off from work due to the weather. The Hensses know this firsthand by dealing with the aftermath of a strong windstorm that blew down their cattle feeder last year.
Their 4-lot feeder was severely damaged by tornado-like winds and they knew they needed a professional to get it up and running again. They called their local dealer, Kohlbrecher Equipment, Inc., of Highland, IL, on a Sunday to do the repair work.
The service tech from Kohlbrecher Equipment, Inc., did the best he could to patch up the feeder enough for them to get by, but they were going to have to replace the equipment.
The Hensses purchased a Patz Model 8916 Multi-lot Feeder from Kohlbrecher Equipment based on the excellent service they provided on a Sunday for their old feeder. The Model 8916 they installed is a 110-foot long four-lot feeder. Both father and son like the fact that the feeder saves manpower and is easy to use.
The steers at Henss Farm, Inc., are happy and well-fed in any kind of weather thanks to great service provided by their local Patz dealer and the excellent performance of the Patz Model 8916 Feeder.
