Bedding Chopper Success Story
1,000 Cow Dairy Prefers Patz Model 9427 Chopper

Kostechka Farm beds 50 small straw bales per day with their Patz Model 9427 Portable Choppers.
Tom Kostechka's family dairy farm has been in operation for 50 years. The 1,000 cow dairy farm has been operating at its current site in Whitelaw, WI, since around 1978.
The Kostechkas have used bale choppers over the years to bed their cows, but have seen the best results from their Patz Model 9427 Bale Chopper. Tom beds 50 small straw bales per day in a 6 row freestall barn.
"We've used other choppers, but we prefer the Patz because of the heavier build and the Quadra Shark™ blades," said Tom.
They bought their first Patz Model 9427 Portable Chopper at an auction. The used Chopper was already a year old at the time but it worked great. That first purchase prompted the Kostechkas to buy a new Patz Model 9427 Portable Chopper in January 2007. Although their Patz Choppers are 2-1/2 and 1-1/2 years old, they are still using the original knives. In addition to the long life of the chopper blades, the Kostechka's also enjoy the reliable operation of the Patz Model 9427 and less downtime than the competitive brands.
Tom is also very satisfied with the good service he receives from his local Patz Dealer L & L Sales and Service, Inc. and especially appreciates his knowledgeable Patz salesman Roger Liebergen.
