Model 9427 Chopper Success Story
Model 9427 Chopper Cuts Bedding Time By 50%!

Stephen Andert, right, with Patz dealer Mark Hahn of Weldy Enterprises.
Stephen Andert and his father Steve Andert milk 50 Holstein and Holstein/Jersey crossbred cows on the South Bend, Indiana, farm Stephen's great grandfather bought in 1921.
No matter the season, there's always plenty of work on the farm to keep you busy and Stephen welcomes any equipment that can help save time and labor. He uses a Patz Model 9427 Chopper with 3-point hitch and blower attachment for bedding and feeding his cows.
Stephen says that he has reduced the amount of time it takes to bed the cows by about 50%. The Model 9427 quickly chops and distributes the straw bedding evenly, using less material than if he had spread it by hand.
He also uses his Patz Chopper to chop hay and straw as a pre-mix for use in his feed ration. According to Stephen, he appreciates the reduced labor and time savings from using his Patz Chopper for both feeding and bedding.
He's very happy that his local Patz dealer, Mark Hahn of Weldy Enterprises in Wakarusa, IN, was able to provide the right product for his particular needs.
Stephen is no stranger to Patz. He currently owns several other pieces of Patz equipment, including a Model 9300 Horizontal Mixer. He's very satisfied with the quality and longevity of all his Patz equipment.
