Dairyman Doug Story of Kenyon, Minnesota, is amazed at the performance of his Patz Model 9427 Chopper with Quadra-Shark™ blades.
"These are quite the blades," says Story. "They are pretty tough. We've had no blade breakage. They still chop well after chopping 120 tons of hay."
Story has a stationary chopper with bottom discharge. It is mounted over a conveyor.
Steel 3/16-inch thick provides plenty of strength for tough cutting conditions. The through-hardened blade is beveled and serrated for more-effective-cutting action. To provide extra service life, the double-edge blade is reversible. The unique, one-piece blade has no bolts or rivets to cause problems.
